Grab Coffee or Brunch on your way to the Inauguration events:

At… Bongo Java on Belmont Boulevard: a walkable, crowd-favorite coffee shop right across from the inauguration event locations.

Nearby, off-campus options include Biscuit Love, Dozen Bakery, 8th and Roast, Fido, Frothy Monkey 12th South, Five Daughters Donuts or Barista Parlor!

Explore attractions on Belmont’s campus:

You may have heard of touring the Belmont Mansion, but you may not know that Belmont also hosts The Frederick Hart Studio Museum and The Gallery of Iconic Guitars (GIG at Belmont), both located within the Lila D. Bunch Library.

Get a Taste of Music City:

There are plenty of convenient and delicious food options right on Belmont Boulevard across from the inauguration event locations. These include alumni-owned Chago’s Cantina, International Market, Athens Family Restaurant, Proper Bagel, Bongo Java, Chatime and 615 Deli! In addition to our Harrington Place Dining Hall, Belmont also has a campus Chick-fil-a and Einstein’s Bagel located in the center of the event locations.

Off Campus

Find out what all the “hot chicken” fuss is about. Try the original Prince’s Hot Chicken or one of the several Hattie B’s locations convenient to campus.

You can’t leave Nashville without some Southern BBQ. But, we are a campus divided. Try out Edley’s BBQ and Martin’s and let us know which you pick.

Some of our other favorite nearby restaurants are: The Grilled Cheeserie, Taqueria Del Sol, Desano Pizza, Burger Up, Smiling Elephant Thai Cuisine and McDougal’s Chicken!

Finally, satisfy your sweet tooth with Nashville’s original Goo Goo Cluster, a Christie Cookie or Belmont alumni-owned No Baked Cookie Dough.

Do Some Shopping:

The nearby Hillsboro Village, 12th South and Gulch neighborhoods all offer great options for local, unique and even high-end shopping and dining outlets. Be sure to also stop by The Belmont Store and our student-run business on campus called Where the Well Things Are.

See a Show or a Game:

With music performances on every corner, seeing live entertainment in Nashville must be at the top of your list. Check out event calendars for The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry Show, Mercy Lounge, 3rd and Lindsley and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center!

Sports fans, have no fear. Attend a Nashville Predators game or watch Nashville SC take on the New York Red Bulls.

Some of our Favorite Tourist Sights:

If you have a few hours to spare before heading home, consider meandering through the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, The Frist Center for the Visual Arts or the newly-opened National Museum of African American Music. You could go backstage at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, take a tour of the “Mother Church” Ryman Auditorium or get your flower fix at the beautiful Cheekwood Estate and Gardens.
